Winter Tangles (SN-141) This painting was inspired by the winter of 2010 in Hendersonville, N.C. in the Blue Ridge mountains. We had many snowfalls, and one of the most striking sights was the immense tangle of branches - moving every which way across the woods. It was not particularly noticeable the rest of the year, but with bare branches covered with snow, the intricacy was compelling.
